CONTAIN

Contain.

Our world is crumbling, ripples of pain  

How can we come together when we are socially restrained?   

All facing horrors and rumors, we just aren’t sure...  

The main focus now is to maintain  

But what can we possibly do when we are drained?  

The people are falling, falling, we just aren’t sure...  

Our leaders, our government demanding abstain! Abstain!  

We are all struggling, desiring connection, yet we’re forbidden from even boarding a damn plane  

Please help us, anyone, through these ripples of pain  

We must endure and refrain  

If you take away one thing, put this in your brain!  

We are all facing horrors and rumors, and yes, we just aren’t sure  

It is overwhelming, disorienting, this panic we contain  

Yet, we must still remember to dance in the rain  

All hope is not lost, despite this pain  

Let this historical hardship light your flame  

Push back, don’t stay in your lane  

Because we can fight through this new pain  

But only if you remember, remember there is a cure, 

even when, we just aren’t sure
